NTG has evolved from a reuse initiative into a leading player in textile recycling. The company was founded in 2021 by Pål Erik Haraldsen under the name HWreuse! as an initiative within Health Workers to manage textile waste from their products. Over time, it became clear that more comprehensive solutions were needed.

In 2022, work began on exploring methods for the material recycling of textiles.

In 2023, NTG secured both public and private funding, enabling the establishment of a recycling facility as well as a research and development project.

The following year, in 2024, the facility became operational, and a pre‑processing center was established. The first delivery of recycled fiber marked proof of concept. During the year, the pre‑processing center was expanded to 3,500 square metres, and the company implemented an automated sorting system for more efficient textile handling. New owners also joined the company during this period.

Now, in 2025, NTG is undergoing rapid development toward industrialization — both for the company itself and for its subsidiary, Norsk Tekstilsortering AS. With increasing capacity and ever more efficient processes, we continue our work to develop the textile recycling solutions of the future.
