Material recycling of textiles
To ensure the quality of our material recycling process, we have clear requirements and guidelines for what can and cannot be recycled.
We accept most types of textiles, but not everything can be recycled with us at the moment. At our facility, we work with textiles suitable for conversion into new fibers, which can then be reused. We are working on solutions for textiles that we are unable to recycle today.
What we do not accept:
-
Dirty or wet textiles
-
Textiles contaminated with paint or oil
-
Shoes, bags, belts, carpets, or upholstered items (such as furniture cushions)
-
Other waste, such as residual waste, hazardous waste, or electronic waste (WEEE: waste electrical and electronic equipment).

What we recycle today:
-
Clothes such as trousers, sweaters, and t-shirts
-
Light workwear
-
Bed linens
-
Towels
-
Tablecloths
-
Wool
-
Jeans

What we do not recycle today:
-
Multilayer textiles (such as jackets/skirts with lining, outerwear)
-
Rainwear and technical textiles (e.g., swimsuit-like fabrics)
-
Clothes with a lot of reflectors, glitter, sequins, beads, or large vinyl prints
-
Underwear (including nylon stockings)
-
Textiles from Shein and Temu
