The Solution
Mechanical textile-to-textile recycling of used textiles that cannot be reused is an important solution to the global environmental challenges posed by the textile industry.
In our demonstration and research facility, we aim to develop fibers from both pure and mixed textiles that are suitable for new textile production (closed loop).
Our facility is specifically designed for textile recycling and does not currently exist elsewhere.
During mechanical recycling, the fibers in textiles are mechanically separated. This process does not consume water or chemicals and is the preferred method for textile recycling.
How it works
We receive the textiles and carry out a pre-processing stage where buttons, zippers, and labels are removed, and the textiles are sorted before being recycled at our facility.
The recycled fiber is then used in the production of new textiles.
